Health Care CRM Leader Recognized for Exceptional Year-over-Year Growth
Dublin, Ohio, Aug. 12, 2015 – Updox, the industry leader for physician connectivity and CRM solutions for health care, debuted at no. 524 on the 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s entrepreneurs.
The 2015 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at inc.com, is the most competitive group in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a three-year growth of 490%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $205 billion, generating 647,000 jobs over the past three years. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.
“We’re incredibly proud of our consistent year-over-year growth. What started as an idea to make health care information more accessible has grown to a solution that touches 25 million patients across the United States. This honor by Inc.magazine speaks highly of our solutions, customers, employees and our full-force commitment to transforming the way healthcare connects,” said Michael Morgan, chief executive officer, Updox. “With 886% growth, we are strong job creator for central Ohio and in the top 10% of fastest growing companies in the nation.”
Through an extensive Direct messaging network and platform of CRM applications, Updox connects all of the components within health care – physicians, patients, payers and partners – with the goal of driving improved outcomes through more efficient communications and better care coordination. Practices can communicate with patients to build engagement, as well as with other partners, such as hospitals, labs and payers, to coordinate care and expand referral networks. By growing the network and focusing on CRM, Updox takes that proven business model and makes it practical for health care. As the industry evolves to a more consumer-driven marketplace with a focus on pay for performance, Updox is changing the way healthcare connects.
Earlier this year, Updox was named one of Becker Hospital Review’s “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” and a 2014 “Best Place to Work” by Columbus Business First.

Methodology
The 2015 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2011 to 2014. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2011. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent–not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies–as of December 31, 2014. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2011 is $100,000; the minimum for 2014 is $2 million.
